Voter Information Slip (VIS) for the 2026 state assembly elections is now available to download online. Election Commission of India (ECI) is conducting assembly elections in 4 states and 1 Union Territory in April 2026. Tamil Nadu and West Bengal polls are scheduled for April 23 and April 29, while elections in Kerala, Assam, and Puducherry have already been completed on April 9.
A voter slip contains details such as the voter's name, age, gender, assembly constituency, polling station details, part number, part serial number, and the date and time of voting. These details are very important for a quick and hassle-free experience at the polling booth.
How to Download Voter Slip Online from voters.eci.gov.in
STEP 1: Visit the official ECI voters portal at voters.eci.gov.in.
STEP 2: On the homepage, click on the "Login" button and enter your registered mobile number or email ID to sign in, as shown in the screenshot below.
STEP 3: After successfully logging in, click on "E-EPIC Download" as shown in the screenshot below.
STEP 4: On the next page, enter your EPIC number and select your state, then click on the search button as shown below.
STEP 5: Your Voter Information Slip (VIS) will now be displayed, showing your polling details as in the image below.
Download Voter Slip Using EPIC ID via Electoral Search
You can also download your voter slip by searching your name in the electoral roll on the ECI portal.
STEP 1: Go to the official voters portal at voters.eci.gov.in.
STEP 2: On the homepage, click on the "Search Your Name in Voter List" tab under the Services section as shown in the screenshot below.
STEP 3: On the next page you will have 3 options. Select any one: "Search by Details", "Search by EPIC", or "Search by Mobile".
STEP 4: Enter the required information and captcha code, then click "Search".
STEP 5: Your voter record will appear. Click on "View Details" under the "Action" column to check your information.
STEP 6: After clicking on "Voter Details", your electoral information will be displayed along with the polling station name, number, and election date and time, as shown below.
STEP 7: To download the voter slip PDF, click on the "मतदाता सूचना प्रिन्ट करें - Print Voter Information" button below the details. This slip includes your polling station name, part number, part name, part serial number, and polling date.
How to Download Voter Slip Using Voter Helpline App
You can also get your voter slip through the Voter Helpline mobile app. Here are the steps to follow:
STEP 1: Download and install the "Voter Helpline App" from the Google Play Store.
STEP 2: Log in using your mobile number and password registered on the ECI Voters Portal. If you are new, register as a "New User" and then log in.
STEP 3: Click on the "Search Your Name in Electoral Roll" option.
STEP 4: Select any one of the search options: "Search by Mobile", "Search by Bar/QR Code", "Search by Details", or "Search by EPIC No." as shown in the app screenshot below.
STEP 5: Enter the required information and click "Search".
STEP 6: Your voter details will appear on screen. Click the "Download" icon to save the voter slip.
What Information Does a Voter Slip Contain?
BLOs (Booth Level Officers) are required to deliver VIS (Voter Information Slips) door to door, at least 5 days before polling day, to all registered voters. The voter slip will contain the following details:
- Name and age of the voter
- Relative's name and gender
- EPIC number / Voter number
- Parliamentary constituency number
- Polling station address and name
- Part number and part serial number
- Polling date and time
